Join us for Poetry Submit-a-Thon this weekend!
Carve out some time to send your poetry to journals and magazines.
Presented by Uplift Poetry and swim meet lit mag.
Are you finding it difficult to meet poetry submissions deadlines? Have you written some poems but don’t know who you should send them to?
Come along to our Poetry Submit-a-Thon to carve out some time to submit your poetry. BYO laptop, notebook or anything else you think you’ll need. We'll show you how to go through a final check of your submissions, including writing cover letters, bios, and proofreading. We’ll also supply you with a list of magazines, journals and websites to submit to, and introduce you to a submissions search engine to help you discover even more opportunities.
In person – 16 June from 3-5pm in the Community Meeting Room at Brisbane Square Library.
Online – 16 June from 3-5pm AEST on Zoom. (Once you've booked a ticket, you'll receive your Zoom link a day before the workshop.)

Uplift is based on stolen lands in Meanjin, the lands of the Jagera and Turrbal people. Sovereignty was never ceded. This always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
